Dubrovnik & The Dalmatian Coast

Comments:  I visited Dubrovnik, the Dalmatian Coast and Montenegro recently with the Riviera Travel company. The local Tour Manager and coach driver were very, very good and ensured that the whole experience was a memorable one.

I had not been there since my visits in 1966, '70 and '71 and despite the development in the 40 years, I was amazed and very pleased to see that the coastal and natural resources had been so well cared for and the sea was as inviting as it was all those years ago, when camping.

 

 

Dubrovnik was amazing, as it always was, save for a two hour storm and downpour!! - But we were made very welcome to shelter in small sandwich bar on one of the steep streets off the Main Street.

I will not leave it another 40 years before returning. I enclose one of my photographs of Dubrovnik Main Street taken from the city walls.
